10/14/2017 (Yemen) - According to local media reports on Saturday, 14 October, the Saudi Arabian air force has carried out a series of air strikes on an area near the Yemeni capital Sana'a, causing a number of civilian casualties. Further strikes are likely in the region as Houthi rebel movements out of the city are targeted by coalition warplanes.

Those in Sanaa are advised to monitor local media and liaise with in-country sources for further updates on the security situation in the city and their particular area of operations. Travellers are advised to minimise time spent in the vicinity of military and rebel patrols and checkpoints in the capital due to the elevated tensions and risk of further clashes.
