Taxi Driver Shot in Targeted Killing, Barranquilla

10/14/2017 (Colombia) - According to reports from local media outlets on Friday, 13 October, an unidentified gunman travelling on a motorcycle has shot and killed a taxi driver in the La Chinita neighbourhood of Barranquilla, provincial capital of the Atlantico Department. The incident is believed to have been a deliberate assassination, though it is unclear why the driver was targeted. The taxi was occupied at the time of the shooting but the passenger escaped the incident without harm.
