Police Conduct Video Censorship Raids in Benin, Edo State

10/13/2017 (Nigeria) - According to local media reports on Friday, 13 October, a number of raids have been conducted in Benin City, Edo State, where the NFVCB (National Film and Video Censorship Board) have seized uncensored and unclassified material, valued at millions of naira. Local police have forced entry into properties in locations including the Oba Market Road, Ibiwe Street, Ebo Street, Upper Sokponba Road, Third Circular Road and Second Circular Road. Further raids are likely as the Assistant Director of Edo state has suggested operations are being prepared in iEkpoma, Auchi and Uromi.
