Security Operations Announced in Badakhshan

10/13/2017 (Afghanistan) - According to national media reports on Friday, 13 October, a security operation has been planned to clear Badakhshan's Yumgan and Wardooj districts of Taliban militants. However, the district governor is still awaiting permission from the central government before launching the military action with a possible start date not having been mentioned.
