09/19/2017 (Guadeloupe) - According to an official bulletin by the French weather agency Meteo France on Tuesday, 19 September, a violet code (maximum-level) alert for the island of Guadaloupe has been issued as hurricane Maria moves northwards from Dominica. Reports indicate that Maria is now a category 4 hurricane as it has lost some strength on its path through Dominica yesterday. Meteo France strictly advises remaining indoors as per the latest official advisory issued earlier this morning.

Those within affected areas are advised to closely monitor weather-related developments through local media and remain alert to any emergency directives issued by authorities, including evacuations. Clients are further advised to ensure they have access to a secure location in which to shelter with stockpiles of food and clean water.
