09/18/2017 (United States) - According to local media reports on Sunday, 17 September, severe weather conditions are anticipated on the east coast during the passage of Hurricane Jose over the next 48 hours. Though the centre of Jose is predicted to remain offshore, it is expected to affect the east coast between North Carolina and New York State, particularly New Jersey and Long Island, where a Tropical Storm Watch is currently in effect. The US National Hurricane Centre has stated that the storm strengthened in the past 24 hours to a category one hurricane.
Clients operating on the east coast are advised to closely monitor the storm's progression and familiarise themselves with emergency protocols, whilst remaining alert to any directives issued by authorities. Those in affected areas are advised to remain clear of the shoreline due to strong winds and dangerously high surf. Extreme caution should be taken during overland travel due to likely hazardous driving conditions.
