UPDATE: Police Make Second Arrest in Connection With Parsons Green Attack

09/17/2017 (United Kingdom) - According to a statement by the Metropolitan Police on Sunday, 17 September, police have carried out a second arrest in connection with the Parsons Green attack. Security forces detained a 21-year man in the London Borough of Hounslow. At least 29 people suffered injuries on Friday, 15 September, when an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated on a London underground train at Parsons Green station, West London. Authorities have raised the current threat level to 'Critical' indicating that an attack is expected.

Clients in the United Kingdom are advised to continue to expect transport disruptions throughout London as security operations are carried out in the wake of the attack. Those travelling via public transport are advised to anticipate increased security measures and account for this in itineraries, allowing additional time where possible.
