09/17/2017 (Ukraine) - According to local media sources on Sunday, 17 September, a group of allegedly right-wing militants surrounded the offices of the city mayor in Odessa. Protesters attempted to break into the building unsuccessfully. The spontaneous protests follow a fire at a summer camp in which multiple children died. Reports indicate possible violations of safety legislation at the summer camp.
Those in the area are advised to avoid the vicinity of protests and demonstrations in order to mitigate against exposure to unruly crowd behaviour, opportunistic crime and police crowd control measures. Keep monitoring local sources for further updates.
