09/15/2017 (United Kingdom) - According to emerging reports from local media sources on Friday, 15 September, a man armed with a knife has been subdued and arrested by police in the vicinity of Birmingham New Street Railway station. Police have indicated that the incident is not terror-related, but drug-related. Further information is awaited at this time. Police are currently on high-alert at transport hubs due to the terror attack which took place near Parsons Green Underground station in London on Friday.

Travellers in Birmingham are advised to avoid the area immediately surrounding the New Street railway station due to the ongoing situation.
