09/15/2017 (Palestinian Territories/ West Bank and Gaza Strip) - According to local media outlets on Friday, 15 September, several raids in the Beit Ummar town of Hebron Governorate triggered clashes between protesters and Israel Defense Force (IDF) personnel. The security forces were reportedly searching several homes after receiving reports that multiple weapons had been stored there. It is indicated that the security personnel fired warning shots and deployed tear gas to disperse the protesters. The protesters responded by throwing stones. No injuries were reported among the IDF personnel, but several Palestinians are alleged to have suffered from tear gas inhalation.

Clients should travel with caution throughout the West Bank and report any suspicious items or persons to authorities. Personnel should minimise time spent in the vicinity of security checkpoints, transportation hubs, road junctions, Jewish settlements and Palestinian refugee camps, as these are frequently conflict flashpoints. Clients should be aware that Israeli-led security operations, which have the potential to disrupt travel arrangements, are liable to occur without warning in the West Bank, especially outside of daylight hours.
