04/01/2024 (Papua New Guinea) - Consider avoiding nonessential travel to the impacted area until tensions subside. Check with local contacts on the status of roads before driving in the town and surrounding areas; use alternative routes to avoid likely areas for clashes and allow additional time to reach destinations. If clashes break out, leave the area immediately and seek shelter, or remain inside away from windows if indoors. Follow all security personnel instructions.
