Cuba will launch a vaccination campaign aimed at vaccinating nearly 10% of the country against H1N1 flu beginning on April 1st. More than 1.1 million Cubans deemed vulnerable to the flu will receive vaccinations, including some 80,000 pregnant women. Health and education workers, airport employees, and individuals with specific health problems that may be vulnerable will also receive vaccinations. In late December 2009, President Raul Castro reported that 41 Cubans had died of H1N1 since the disease was first reported in the country.
