August 13, 2009. Israel Reports Two Deaths from Swine Flu

Medical complications following a confirmed swine flu infection killed a 40-year-old man who was being treated at the primary medical center in Petah Tikva on August 13th. The victim was hospitalized three days ago with renal failure and admitted to suffering a light fever before he was diagnosed with swine flu.
Separately, a 54-year-old woman hospitalized at the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv also died on August 13th following complications from an H1N1 infection. The case marks the seventh death in the country from the virus.
